THE PIRATE 5K

The Pirate 5k was started in 2017 as an elite race for runners wanting to run fast. The race is made to attract the best of the best, and of course, those who wish to run with the very best. In 2018, the race will be open to all as opposed to a qualifying standard time. Elite runners will be placed at the front of the pack, and a rabbit will be placed in front at a sub 15:00 min pace. There will also be a pace car/ and bike. The race will be video taped, and there will be a photographer on site to take action pictures of the event. All pictures will be available for free. This is a %100 non profit event and all the money from registration will be given to the top finishers. After the 5k, there will be a 1k race for kids 12 and under. Registration for the Little Pirate 1k will be made on race day and the cost will be $2. We will be giving out four kids bikes to the top Mother Daughter, Mother Son, and Father Son, Father Daughter duo. Parents have to run the full Pirate 5k, and the kids have to complete the full Little Pirate 1k in order to complete the challenge and win a free kids bike as the top duo. There will be food, music, prizes, and an award ceremony following the race. More money could be introduced to age group categories depending on registration numbers. The more that register, the more we give back.
