Youth Series

This event offers a Youth Series. Find out more about RunNB's Youth Series.

Young runners 12-and-under are invited to participate in the Kids 1K. The 1K will be offered in-person and virtually. Each finisher will receive a medal, courtesy of RunNB and a technical t-shirt. The cost of participation is $5, closer to the registration date, the price of registration will rise to $10.

• Course description: The course begins at he the Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium. The 1 Mile and Team Relay Routes will proceed up Dineen Dr., turn left on Bailey, and then navigate around Header House before descending down the hill. The route down encompasses a short run along Garland Ct., then down McKay Dr. The race finishes back at the start line. The 5K consists of two loops. The first loop begins at Lady Beaverbrook Gym, ascends Dineen Dr., turns left on Pacey Dr., right on MacKay Dr. before doing a loop around the Aitken Centre (home of the REDS hockey team), before returning to McKay Dr. to begin the descent. Participants will then navigate around Header House, along Garland Drive before beginning loop two. Loop two is the same as loop one but does not ascend MacKay Dr. nor does it loop around the Aitken Centre.
