  • Course description: Start and end beside the Sir James Dunn Academy High School on Prince of Wales. Course starts out down/ flat for the 1st mile, the 2nd mile is flat and straight down Water St. The 3rd mile starts flat, has a short down and then a medium steepness 200m hill, leveling out on Cedar Lane. The 4th mile is flat or slight down with a sharp up going by the arena. The final mile begins with a steep downhill to Katy’s Cove followed by a steep tough lung/leg-burner hill peaking by the Algonquin Hotel. The last 600m of race is downhill to finish beside the high school. Most runners say that the course is tough but fair ;-) Same course since 1979 (except added 50m in 2008 when re-measured) but we have had different start/end points along the course.
